It seems to me that the worse your pass defense is, the better your team is. The top three worse pass defenses in the league are the three teams with the best records: The Packers, Saints, and Patriots.
And its not like the AFC playoffs have any elite quarterbacks, with the exception to Brady of course. Rothlisberger is the only other QB besides Brady in the AFC playoffs who is top 10 in Passer Rating (he is #10), and he is playing on a sprained left ankle, and has been horrendous since the injury occurred. The Patriots offense has been clicking on all cylinders as of late, and with the Steelers being as banged up as they are, I expect the Pats to be in Indy.

The term “defense wins championships” is becoming less and less relevant in NFL in order to make it to the Super Bowl, and eventually winning it all. Look at the past 5 Super Bowl winners: Packers, Saints, Steelers, Giants, Colts. Only 1 of those teams, the Steelers, had a top 5 defense. The Colts, Saints, and Packers all had dominant offenses and defenses that primarily rely on the turnovers, which is exactly how the Patriots rely on their defense this year. I’ll take Tom Brady over a Tim Tebow, Joe Flacco, or TJ Yates any day, no matter the defense that the Patriots are up against.
